About Donation
Inclusion Ghana acts as an intermediary between the donor and the beneficiary of the direct support. It provides supervision, monitoring and evaluation and keeps the donor organization informed on the disbursement and activities associated with the direct support. This programme primarily looks at individuals or corporate institutions directly supporting the people with intellectual disabilities (PWIDs). The following are the breakdown of the direct costs in caring for children and youth with cerebral palsy, autism and down syndrome.
Direct Cost for a Child with Cerebral Palsy per 6 Months
- Speech Therapy:
- GH¢ 200 per session for 3 times a week
- GH¢ 600 per week
- GH¢ 2,400 per month x6
- GH¢ 14,400 for 6 months
- Physiotherapy:
- GH¢ 80 per day for 3 days in a week
- GH¢ 240 per week
- GH¢ 960 per month x6
- GH¢ 5,760 for 6 months
Direct Cost for All Children with Intellectual Disability
- Physiotherapy:
- GH¢ 80 per day for 3 days in a week
- GH¢ 240 per week
- GH¢ 960 per month x6
- GH¢ 5,760 for 6 months
- Assistive Devices replaced every 6 months:
- Gaiters @GH¢80 per pair
- Corner seat @ GH¢180
- GH¢260 for 6 months
- Medication:
- Two medicines for seizure control and 1 as an immune booster cost GH¢420 for every 3 months and GH¢840 for 6 months.
- 1 medicine for seizure control @ GH¢200 for 3 months and GH¢ 400 for 6 months
- Occupational Therapy:
- GH¢ 200 per session for 3 times a week
- GH¢ 600 per week
- GH¢ 2,400 per month x6
- GH¢ 14,400 for 6 months
